Journeying with Mermaids, Oracles, and dem Blessings: Readings and Reflections/Prompting Creativity
with dat Black Mermaid Man Lady/Sharon Bridgforth

I started thinking that there are things that I wish I could tell my child self, and so I started writing those things. I saw those things as blessings.

In this series of three videos, artist Sharon Bridgforth offers creative and reflective prompts pulled from the Oracle and dem Blessings decks of her dat Black Mermaid Man Lady project.

From the artist:

In this three-part video series I will pull cards from the dat Black Mermaid Man Lady/Oracle Deck and dat Black Mermaid Man Lady/dem Blessings. These are Ocean decks, so they speak to what is under the surface. They are Ancestor/Soul decks, so they’re all about Love. Based on the cards that I pull, I will Offer prompts for you to write/draw/collage/move—Journey with.

My question is always, “What does Infinite Love want us to Know right now?”

Sending Love your way,

Sharon & dem
