Learning and study play an integral part in the movement for justice. Through the Collective Learning opportunities offered by the Department of Racial Justice and Movement Building (DRJaM), the NPN team (and often the public) can study the work of those who came before us as well as our contemporaries, and develop a greater capacity for assessment, alignment, and action as we move to create change through and with art and culture.

Collective Learning Series
Our monthly internal discussion session covers a range of ideas. Past discussion topics have included how to identify organizational risk in times of authoritarianism, practices of accountability, the historical impact of art and culture on justice movements, and the challenges of deference politics. DRJaM supports artists, Partners and peer organizations in developing reading groups for their community and constituents.
