Facilitated by the Arts Council of New Orleans, this conversational practicum is designed for visual artists with an interest in community art practice. The instructors will contextualize the concept within art history, encourage conversation on specific recent examples, discuss the practicalities and ethics involved in making work founded on community interaction, and touch on the funding potential of projects involving multiple collaborators.
