Sally Heller’s Project Series

Sally Heller // artist

Sally Heller is a nationally known multi-media artist whose work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in New York, New Orleans and other cites across the U.S. As an artist, Sally is always searching for “unusual equations” – compositional and conceptual situations where forms and materials that are ordinarily clumsy and forgettable become at once aesthetically strong and metaphorically potent. Fascinated by the poetics of contradictions, oxymorons, double entendres, and the like, she seeks to develop such qualities in her artwork which currently includes photography, collages and room-size installations made from quotidian objects.

She was awarded a fellowship at Civitella Ranieri Artist Residency in Italy. In 2014 Sally exhibited a site-specific work, “Linked,” at a satellite exhibition during Prospect.3 Biennial in New Orleans.
