New Orleans Black Indians Alliance (NOBIA)

Douglas Finley // project manager

NOBIA promotes the educational advancement, cultural significance, and historical relevance of the rich traditions of indigenous New Orleans Black Indians.

NOBIA uplifts and shares our indigenous African American culture, practices, and rituals; promotes economic sustainability and fosters a sense of pride, unity and mutual respect in the Black “masking” Indian Nations and city. Additionally, we serve as ambassadors for the great City of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana and throughout the world.

Motto: Bury the Hatchet, Raise the Flag
