D.D. DuBois (she/her) is a musician, educator, burlesque dancer, and theater performer from Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she trained in opera and musical theater performance. In her twelve-year career in nonprofits, she has helped build music, theater, and English as a second language programs for communities all over the world including in China, Japan, Indonesia, and here in the US. As a theater performer, she has sought out opportunities to bring diverse cultural stage performances to places where people of color were underrepresented. In her new role as the Southern Artists for Social Change Community Liaison at NPN, she hopes to use all that she has learned working in diverse communities to help create equitable access within the city and throughout the South as a whole.
