In honor of its 25th Anniversary, the National Performance Network invited some long-term NPN Partners and colleagues to have a conversation about NPN’s impact on the field. During the summer of 2010, the long-distance lines buzzed, and at least two people sat face-to-face, for a chat around three topics. Jefferson James and Carla Perlo, both founding members of NPN, talked about the impact that NPN has had on their own organizations and curatorial practices.  Roberto Bedoya and Vanessa Whang talked about NPN’s values and how they have shaped the organization’s work in the field. And Arnie Malina traveled across the country, from Vermont to Maine, to visit his old haunts at the Myrna Loy Center and talk with current artistic director Ed Noonan about the impact that NPN has had on one particular local community.
