Round Four Applications

Posted: Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at 7:00 pm in Opportunities

Dance/USA is accepting applications for Engaging Dance Audiences (EDA), thanks to the support of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.

EDA will again fund the refinement of successful audience engagement programs. Dance or multidisciplinary organizations can apply to meet one of two objectives: 1) They can refine an existing engagement program, focusing particularly on the quality of the experience for the participating audience or community, or 2) They can refine programs that have a track record of engaging ALAANA (African, Latino(a), Asian, Arab and Native American) audiences, the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities, communities of faith, or incarcerated people and their families. Applicants can be organizations with 501(c)3 status or apply through a fiscal sponsor, and they do not need to be current members of Dance/USA.

Assistance includes town meetings in select cities as well as two webinars. In addition, applicants who have not been funded in the past may have a proposal coaching session with consultant Keryl McCord. All applicants are required to submit a letter of inquiry by November 10, 2016, at 5:30 Eastern time. For more information go to EDA Round Four Guidelines, which describes the funding structure, timeline and provides FAQs.
