On the Canal
Cultural colleagues on Canal
fluent calm contentious floating barges,
buoyed bodies bumping
in complex camaraderie.
Resist the whirling flood of crazy convolutions.
Forget the ceaseless frequent communications.
Clarity is in the caravan upon the water.
Cautious but not too careful,
connections can’t be missed,
partnerships in pressure
pushing, pulling on the river
