One Million Bones… and Counting…

One Million Bones is a large-scale, international participatory art project, which uses education and hands-on artmaking to raise awareness of genocides across the globe. On its way to sending one million handmade bones to the National Mall next year, the project saw a recent day of local action in New Orleans with the laying of 50,000 bones in Congo Square.

One Million Bones is one of 13 projects that are part of NPN’s Local Network.
