Live streaming comes to the Annual Meeting
This year NPN is collaborating with #NewPlay TV!, a collective media outlet for live events and performances relevant to the new play sector, in order to live stream the Annual Meeting performances. #NewPlay TV! is an interactive TV outlet that streams any discipline of performance in order to advance the conversation around new work. #NewPlay TV! is LIVE, which means like the performance it is a one-time only event, only it reaches a wider national and international audience. Dallas-based Showcase Artists

Dallas-based Showcase Artists are selected by the host site committee, this year consisting of South Dallas Cultural Center and Dallas cultural community members. Five area artists will present 10-minute excerpts of their work.

Performing Americas Project

This is a presentation of Performing Americas, a Project of NPN’s International Programs. Generous support for this event provided by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation, the Division of Dance and the University of Mexico, D.F., The Mexico Institute and the Latino Cultural Center, a program of the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs.

Antiono Salinas’ beautifully crafted solo is a furious portrait of heartbreak and self examination, utilizing voice and movement, as he sings along with an MP3 and recounts the curious story of a labrador that disappears in an internet cafe.
