NPN AWARDS $24,940 TO SUPPORT DEEP COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

NPN recently awarded six Community Fund projects to allow NPN Partners, artists, and communities to further develop their relationships. The Community Fund is designed for NPN Partners to take risks, implement new programs, and/or diversify their community connections. The Community Fund will support activities in Knoxville, New Orleans, Houston, rural Montana, Anchorage and Minneapolis, helping NPN Partners build on previous relationships, explore new ones, and connect local artists with visiting artists. Read more about these community engagement projects.

The Community Fund is made possible by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the MetLife Foundation, and the Nathan Cummings Foundation.

WAVES OF MU
RIPPLE FROM CREATION FUND AWARD

Creation Funds provide direct, unencumbered assistance to the creation and touring of new work. Amazing things can happen with this focused support: Amy Caron describes this grant as covering “more territory than any other award I’ve received… Everyone in Utah told me it was impossible, that I would have to move to somewhere bigger to make a career out of performing. Thanks NPN – there’s nothing sweeter than proving people wrong.” Read Amy’s full story about the rippling effects of Waves of Mu and her Creation Fund.

CALLING ALL CO-COMMISSIONERS

NPN’s Creation Fund is open to presenters in the U.S. who collaborate with NPN Partners to commission and present a new work. Letters of intent are due July 9, and full proposals are due July 30. Read more about this funding opportunity.
