Welcome to the mini-site for the National Performance Network’s 24th Annual Meeting in Seattle. If you are browsing this site, it means that you have been invited to FLY NORTH with your fellow NPN Partners, Artists and Colleagues to participate in this highly anticipated once-a-year event.

Our directives are clear: we want the Annual Meeting to be a forum for building and strengthening relationships, for advancing our professional development and for connecting with what’s going on creatively around the country. Our hope is that you will walk away from the Meeting with the tools and the inspiration to support your work when you return to your communities.

On that note, we have collected many great proposals for breakout sessions, aka Idea Forums, that address trends in the local, regional and national field.

When else can you engage in critical dialogue with a national group of cultural workers who are committed to bringing the performing arts to communities around the country? Highlights of activities this year include performances of new work by national NPN-subsidized and Northwest artists, Idea Forums and panels addressing cutting edge cultural topics, keynote address by hip-hop artist and poet Rha Goddess, and of course the time and space to get to know some of the brightest and most creative people working in our field.

Meeting activities kick off on Thursday, December 11 and continue through the weekend until late Sunday night. Plan to arrive in time for "Survivor Seattle! A Guide to the NPN Annual Meeting" on Thursday at 4:00pm, when you’ll learn everything you wanted to know about the Meeting (but were afraid to ask), and then enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones at the Opening Reception (both at the hotel).
