Healthcare
Obtaining it and paying for it is a critical challenge for many in the arts community. Fractured Atlas works to secure some very affordable health insurance options for its members. All of the information about the plans can be found on our website, where you can directly sign up for the plan that suits your needs.
Liability Insurance
Through multiple highly-rated carriers, we are pleased to offer our members access to high-quality, low-cost liability coverage for: annual general liability, studio rental (for visual artists), events (a requirement for many artistic events), film production & equipment, public art installations (covering fabrication/installation, as well as providing coverage for the artwork itself), arts fairs and festivals, teaching artists, director's and officer's (which can also include employment practices insurance), errors and omissions, volunteer accident, and worker's comp.
Online Courses
Fractured U. presents online courses developed by industry professionals that can help with fundraising, marketing, budgeting, producing strategies, and other D.I.Y. aspects of the arts and creative industries.

Fiscal Sponsorship
This is a financial and legal system by which a legally-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity (such as Fractured Atlas) provides the means for independent artists or groups to apply for grants or receive tax-deductible contributions. Fractured Atlas has the largest arts fiscal sponsorship program in the country.

Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is only partially funded through membership fees. Critical additional support is or has been provided by The National Endowment for the Arts, The New York State Council for the Arts, local and family foundations, and scores of individual donors from across the country.
Is Fractured Atlas an insurance company?
Fractured Atlas is not an insurance company. If you enroll in a health insurance plan or purchase liability insurance, your premiums will go to the insurance company in question, and they will be responsible for paying your claims. Fractured Atlas is also not a union, nor a producer, agent, manager, etc.
How do I become an Associate Member?
Through the Open Arts Network, a collaborative partnership has been formed between Fractured Atlas and the National Performance Network. As a result, Fractured Atlas is pleased to offer you a free Associate Membership.
If you are an NPN/VAN Partner or an artist who has been contracted under an NPN/VAN Subsidy Program (Performance Residency, Exhibition Residency, Creation Fund, Performing Americas Residency, etc.) you are eligible for this service. Simply contact the NPN/VAN Partner organization you are working with or contact the NPN National Office for details.

How does Fractured Atlas do what they do?
To date, Fractured Atlas has over 10,000 members and growing. Thanks to the combined purchasing power of the Fractured Atlas community of people and organizations like YOU, they are able to provide members with high-quality insurance policies for substantially lower rates than would otherwise be available.
How do I enroll in a healthcare plan?
When you join Fractured Atlas, you will be asked to select a username and password for the web site. When you are ready to enroll in a healthcare plan, just visit www.fracturedatlas.org, and login to the site. Then, click on Health Insurance under the Programs & Services menu, select your state of residence from the dropdown menu on the right side of the screen, and you will be able to enroll in a plan directly online. In addition to the plans listed, we expect to add new plans over time, so please keep checking back if you can't find something suitable.
How do I obtain liability insurance?
When you join Fractured Atlas, you will be asked to select a username and password for the web site. When you are ready to apply for an insurance quote, just visit www.fracturedatlas.org, and login to the site. Then, click on Liability Insurance under the Programs & Services menu, choose the type of insurance you're looking for, and you will be able to apply for a free quote directly online. Once our insurance brokers have processed your quote, you will be sent an email and will be able to purchase/secure the insurance immediately through our website.
