The mission of McColl Center for Art + Innovation is to empower artists to advance contemporary art and community through the creative process. McColl Center believes that art and artists are catalysts for change and cultural advancement, and promotes the understanding of the value of artists to society. The Center advances its mission through its major programs: Artist Residencies, Exhibitions, Community Engagement, Education and The Innovation Institute.

McColl Center believes that artists and art promote positive change. Artists are at the core of all Center programs. From its residency program, the Center develops exhibitions, engagement and education programs that stimulate creativity in all audiences. Its goal is to present contemporary art and artists that engage and enrich the public while ultimately shaping Charlotte’s cultural and civic identity.
