Dawn DeDeaux

Dawn DeDeaux is a New Orleans-based multi-media, conceptual and visual artist . Her PROJECT MUTANTS is a collaboration with the Tulane / Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research, and will install a series of illuminated, cell-like sculptures into the rivers and marshes affected by the BP oil spill disaster . The sculptures will also function as water sensors to assess water quality, accompanied by a public engagement and participatory education campaign . DeDeaux’s latest project, The Goddess Fortuna and her Dunces, in an Effort to Makes Sense of It All, is a multimedia project inspired by John Kennedy Toole’s novel A Confederacy of Dunces.
